Leckhampton Hill

1st September 2000     Back to Home Page

Leckhampton Hill, near Cheltenham and Gloucester, is a product of limestone, nature and man.  It provides a wealth of different habitats for plants and animals.

What can you see at Leckhampton Hill?  How many of the common species below have you seen?  If you are a skilled and persistent observer you can see far more than these.

The habitats are quite fragile.  Walking or cycling off the paths can damage plants, and disturb, damage or destroy the habitats of animals.

Some of these pictures were taken at other places, but all of the snakes and some of the lizards, orchids, butterflies and flowers were photographed at Leckhampton Hill.
